June 20, 2005:  The First Annual DINO Adventure Day Camp was a great day!  We had almost a full attendance of 50 kids and the smiles were everywhere.  Look for a larger event next year with the addition of possibly another adventure sport!

July 9-14th, 2005:  Adventure Athlete goes to Switzerland and France to cheer Lance on to his 7th win!  We started our day at Courchevel with a hike/scramble up to 10,000 ft for lunch and then came down the mountain to see the stage 10 finish.  It was the day that Lance won back the yellow jersey and kept if for the remainder of the Tour.  We then got up the next day to see the ceremonial start of stage 11.  What a time!

August, 2006:  We put on a two-event program for our client, Irvin-Rogers Brick and Block.  The first was a Friday orienteering course for sales staff and employees to build teams and camaraderie in Cool Creek Park.  Then, a week later, we set a map/compass and GPS orienteering event on White River for sales staff and clients to compete in locating checkpoints as a team.  The teams had to located the checkpoints, choose the correct puzzle piece for their team, and be the first to arrive at the end to complete their puzzle.  Despite the snake and dirt, we all had a blast!

Fall, 2005 - Winter, 2006:  Adventure Athlete has acquired land through its sister company, Whispering Wind Ranch, to further expand its offerings and to allow us to meet the needs of our clients' corporate training and adventure needs.  We now have 45 acres in Montgomery county with trails and will be constructing a Lodge and Barn meeting areas in 2006!

The year 2006 was spent working on Whispering Wind Ranch while working events in between construction.

July, 2006:  We conducted the second DINO Adventure Day Camp to a continued increased success.  More kids, more activities and more fun!  This is a great day to remember the days of our youth when it was much more easy to get out!

The remainder of 2006 saw some corporate activities at "The Ranch" as we concluded construction and hosted Truth at Work (www.truthatwork.org) for their annual Board of Advisors retreat.  An orienteering event was planned, but the weather changed that.  So, we met, ate and built good memories teaching some skeet shooting!

July, 2007:  Adventure Athlete is on the move!  We are relocating to the year-around sports Mecca of the northern Midwest.  That is none other than Traverse City, Michigan.  Check us out there as we will have more offerings for kayaking, mountain biking, trail running and hiking.  Additionally, with individuals that kiteboard, surf, etc., there will be different workouts for the different outdoor sports enthusiasts and hard-core competitors alike!  Contact us at 231.944.9946!
